Who We are and serve

  • To love kinship, foster, and adoptive children and families as well as biological families at risk of or currently experiencing seperation through service and support that is rooted in God’s grace and compassion.

  • Our vision is to create space where families can experience God's love, reconciliation, restoration and redemption.

We envision a community that is empowered to extend God's love through supporting, fostering, or adopting.

We envision a community where the bonds of family are strengthened, the broken are mended, and the love of Christ shines brightly through our commitment to serve the least among us."

  • Reconciliation of Families

    Restoration of Families

    Redemption of Families

Foster & Adopt Community Groups

Our foster and adopt care groups are built to provide community and support for our foster and adoptive parents.

We currently have a Dad’s Group and Mom’s Group that meet the 2nd Tuesday every other month, opposite of one another. The Women meet during odd months and then men during even months.

Interested in attending? Please email fosteradopt@gracelb.org

CarePortal

We as a ministry seek to not only care for our families regularly attending Grace but also our Long Beach community as a city. We have chose to partner with CarePortal and our local DCFS office to meet the tangible and relational needs of those in our city. Through CarePortal we receive and respond to needs of biological and kinship families who are working to reunify or prevent the removal of their children.

There are three ways to support our work through CarePortal:

• Financially Support

• Collect and Deliver Items requested by families

• Pray

Transitional-Age Youth Mentors

Did you know that approximately 20,000 youth ages out of foster care each year without a permanent family?

In 2021, an estimated 77 percent of eligible youth in foster care, ages 14–21 years old, left care without receiving the federally funded services necessary to prepare them for adulthood and independent living.

At Grace we are working toward building a mentor program to come alongside these Transitional-Age Youth (TAY) to help them build the life and work skills, as well relationships to help them thrive.

Stay tuned for more.
