Venturing into a church can be very intimidating for some. Trying to find a church home can be very frustrating for others. So who are we?

We are a diverse, multi-generational church family that’s been in Long Beach since 1913. In our family you will discover a wide variety of people who share one thing in common —we‘ve all found our story as part of God’s larger plan to renew all of life through the gospel.

Because of that, we are a community on a journey together. The map for our journey has been revealed by God in the Bible. There God has unfolded his plan to restore his creation to himself through Jesus. Through Jesus, God has extended his grace to his creation and has made it possible for there to be restoration and healing in human relationships and in all spheres of life. Our desire is to be a community which seeks to live life with Jesus as the central reference point. To that end, our life together is framed by these questions: Who is Jesus and what has he done? What does it mean to be truly human? What is grace? If grace, what is growth?

We have a strong commitment to serve the city of Long Beach in such a way that would cause the city to rejoice (Proverbs 11:10). Through Hope for Long Beach, we are partnering with 15 non-profits and other churches in Long Beach. We’re also committed to serving the marginalized and the “least of these” (Matthew 25:40) both in our city and around the world. Two examples are our support of Christians in poverty-stricken Burkina Faso (Africa) and of orphans in Uganda (Ugandan Lambs ministry).
